I've just installed it, not sure whether it's a good thing or not. Seems very nicely made.

Having used this for about an hour now, I have to say it's really a streamlined workflow!

I haven't found any issues that could keep us from at least trying it.

The relevant concepts of a Q&A platform seem to be tightly integrated and placed appropriately, namely:

  • separation of questions from comments!
  • good, no frill, text editor (yes, plain markdown works with or without clicking!)
  • clear interface, content focussed (both single questions/list of questions)
  • tagging
  • evolving rights through participation (here: karma) to hopefully avoid overwhelming administrative/gardening by just a few
  • watching/following questions

Bonus points for a lot of (lesser known) 3rd party signup solutions, other than the now commonly default of g,f,t.

A minor drawback (That can be fixed, I guess) is the lack of correct syntax highlighting of haskell code that will most prominently be posted here.

Perhaps there's a plugin for Haskell syntax hilighting?

It looks like it uses google-code-prettify, which supports haskell via an extension: However if this is up to date, askbot doesn't support naming languages:

It seems some of those 3rd party signups aren't working.. Will try and do a cull at some point. Couldn't get the google+ or twitter one to work, but facebook is ok..
