I tried to have two or more laptops running Tidal all sync'ed up, and have been following the short instruction on TidayCycle,org. Not going through the first setup (NTP/PTPd), I just wanted to see if I can make the connection by running TIDAL_TEMPO_IP=<HOST IP ADDRESS> atom &

The two computers are connected to a router, and one assigned with 192.168.1.11 and the other with 192.168.1.12 (using manual IP setup) with Subnet Mask (255.255.0.0).

When I ran TIDAL_TEMPO_IP=<192.168.1.11> atom & on the second machine's terminal, I got this error message: -bash: 192.168.1.12: No such file or directory.

Any suggestion as to what I should go from here. The explanation from the Tidal website sounds simple, but it actually is not. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Jun

Hi Jun, try this:

TIDAL_TEMPO_IP=192.168.1.11 atom &

i.e., without the angle brackets.

As long as both laptops are synced to the same ntp server then they should be close enough in time. Let us know how you get on !
