Hi,

A newbie here.

I'm trying to send midi from Tidal to some hardware but I keep getting this fault:

"access violation in generated code pm_winmm called Segmentation"

then Atom crashes..

I'm running Windows 7. Haskell 64bit - Full version.

Previously I've re-installed everything and took the older "Cabal Tidal Midi 0.8" from haskell but no luck.

Hope somebody can help, otherwise I will just wait for the new Tidal and hope it is fixed then

I can't help much, but it seems that "pm_winmm" is part of PortMIDI, so I suspect the problem lies there.

Please install the 32bit version of Haskell on any Windows!

If you already installed the 64bit version,
do the following:

  1. uninstall current haskell platform (via "Add/Remove Software")
  2. download & run haskell platform installer 32bit version (from haskell.org)
  3. reinstall tidal-midi with: cabal update && cabal install tidal-midi
