After installing Haskell, entering "cabal install tidal" in Terminal produced a long string of error messages regarding missing files, ending with the following list. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening? Thanks!

The following packages are broken, either because they have a problem listed above, or because they depend on a broken package. tidal-0.8 hmt-0.15 websockets- SHA- mersenne-random-pure64- hosc-0.15 old-time- utf8-string- safe-0.3.9 entropy-0.3.7 multiset-comb- primes- old-locale- colour-2.3.3 lazy-csv-0.5.1 data-ordlist- base64-bytestring- data-binary-ieee754-0.4.4

Hmm not sure.. Can you paste in the whole error message? If it's really big you could paste it on and link to it here

<p> Further details that may shed some light: 1st I attempted to install w/out realizing I needed XCode dev tools. SC server wouldn't reboot after that 1st attempt. I installed XCode, then tried to un+re-install haskell and tidal. SC working now, but still no tidal.

One of the errors in there makes me think you might need: "sudo xcodebuild -license" to actually have the dev tools work.

I'm not sure what's going on here, mysterious.. As far as I can tell it's a general problem with haskell/ghc rather than with tidal. Where did you install ghc from?

I would try removing the .ghc and .cabal folders in your home folder and trying again, or reinstalling haskell. Sorry I don't have more insight..
